CHARM BOX

The Charm BOX is a high speed data acquisition system capable of a receiving 8 channels of serial data and storing the information in five  8mb banks of memory. Each input channel is piped into a large PLD allowing for real time data manipulation such as zero suppression or generating real time histograms of the incoming data. The Charm box also contains a 90MHZ ARM7 microcontroller with 32MB of main memory and 128MB of nonvolatile  flash memory. The processor is used to display the data in real time on a 5 inch touch screen color LCD display.  The Charm box contains multiple users IO to the CPU so that it can interface with a PC with USB, SERIAL   or a National Instruments IO board.
